A gathering is a lesson built into an occasion — a birthday, a ladies’ night, a club evening, an evening for clients. You’ve decided to host something and chosen mahjong for it, and the afternoon gets composed around that rather than around a syllabus.
The food, the drink, and the room are yours — that’s what makes the afternoon feel like yours rather than like a booking.
